Progression guidelines

There are no qualifying times for 25m to 200m events. Swimmers are encouraged to meet the time for a distance before moving up.

Qualifying times

Racing beyond Club Nights

Times recorded at Club Nights are official, so they count towards qualifying for Area, Country, State and national championships. Having a time to work towards gives a swimmer something concrete to chase each week.

12–14 February 2027

NSW Country Championships

Long course, at SOPAC. A full swimmer membership is required to enter.

20–21 March 2027

NSW Speedo Youth State Age Championships

At SOPAC, for swimmers in the youth age groups.

Qualifying times for every Swimming NSW championship are published on the Swimming NSW qualifying times page. If you are not sure which times your swimmer should be working towards, ask their coach.
